Mundubile, Makebi salivating to come and eat where they left off – HH … what kind of boys are these?

President Hakainde Hichilema has warned Zambians against going backwards as they would be ‘burnt again’ because Brian Mundubile and Makebi Zulu failed to do the same things were were promising now when they served as ministers.

Introduced to the stage by a campaign song ‘ba Pompwe baisa nakabili (the thieves have come again)’, President Hichilema warned that Zambians would be ‘burnt again’ if they proceeded to elect the NRPUP presidential ticket of Mundubile and Zulu, as the two served as ministers in the former PF administration that was voted out of office.

He said they were salivating to come and continue eating after the UPND administration had worked hard to restore order in the economy.

President Hichilema said the two were ministers in the PF administration but did not do the same things they were promising the people now.

He said all the country’s provinces had made a decision to continue with his administration in office so that free education could continue.

Hichilema said there was a lot of violence from where the country was coming from, and therefore people must vote for peace rather than violence.

“These two boys were both ministers in PF. One was here in Northern Province (Mundubile). The other one was provincial minister in Eastern Province (Zulu). They are saying a lot now, (but) why didn’t they do all those things when they were in government?” President Hichilema asked. “They were in government 10 years. Now UPND comes into government, twawamya ifintu, bamona ifintu nafibwelelapo muchalo (we brought back order) and now they are salivating. They want to eat again. Twakana mukwai (We say not to that).”

President said the money he accused his opponents of salivating over was meant for free education, Constituency Development Fund (CDF), Social Cash Transfer Programme, Cash for Work programme and for seeds and other farming inputs.

“We’ve had to work hard to rebuild this economy, now they want to come and continue eating where they left off together with the seed. Babashani abalumendo aba (what kind of boys are these)?” he said.

He promised a state of the art hospital in Kasama, including township roads.

“We are going to build a public university here in Northern Province,” said President Hichilema.

He said he had promised paramount chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba people to upgrade Kasama Airport to international standards, and he had delivered.

He said the government was now earning K350,000 per month from K45,000 following the upgrades.

And Kasama-Central UPND member of parliament Bernard Mpundu knelt as he pleaded with the people for a vote, telling them that he would work with them and would not let them down
