Patson Daka continues his comeback following a lengthy injury layoff and on Saturday saw some English Premiership action in Leicester City’s 4-1 away loss at Brentford.
This was Daka’s second competitive match following a three-month injury layoff that saw him miss Zambia’s entire 2025 AFCON Group G qualifying campaign.
Daka came on in the 64th minute for Jamie Vardy with Leicester already trailing four-one heading into the hour-mark.
The Chipolopolo striker made his first start to the campaign on November 23 in Leicester’s 2-1 home loss to Chelsea when he came on in the 79th minute.
Across the border in Scotland, Ayr United were in Scottish Cup third round action on Saturday.
Chipolopolo defender Frankie Musonda came on as a 79th minute substitute in the Scottish second-tier side’s 2-1 home victory over Greenock Morton to advance to the fourth round of the competition.
On the same day in Switzerland, Joseph Sabobo Banda came on in the 22nd minute for FC Zurich in their 1-1 derby home draw against Grasshoppers.
Down south across the border in Italy, Cagliari were in action on Friday and beat 16th placed Verona 1-0.
Forward Kingsley Mutwanda was an unused substitute by the number 12 club on the Serie A log.
But Lameck Banda is still sidelined with an injury and on Sunday missed Lecce’s home against Juventus.
