FDD leader Edith Nawakwi says President Hakainde must replace Finance minister Dr Situmbeko Musokotwane with another person who will inspire hope.
Speaking with Daily Revelation, Nawakwi said Hichilema has nothing to deliver, describing his claims as imbwelenge, something that will not come to fruition.
She said most of the things the President was pursuing, especially on debt negotiations would not come to fruition and that he should therefore find other means of addressing national matters.
“Ni mbwelengefye. There are two types of Chikanda. There is one where despite applying all the ingredients and using your energy will not come to fruition,” Nawakwi said. “I saw ba yama balemyanga kukanwa (I saw our uncle milking his lips). He had nothing to deliver. First of all you can’t go in public with half baked information.”
She said since Dr Musokotwane had expressed pessimism about the IMF deal, the President should replace him with someone who can inspire hope.
“Since Hon Musokotwane is not optimistic replace him with someone who can inspire hope … While (Bank of Zambia Governor) Dr Denny Kalyalya is doing quantitative tightening, the President through ACC is closing businesses. You can close Savenda and go to beg for investments from broke America. Let him put his hands on Gold and Emeralds for a change,” said Nawakwi who once served as Finance minister.
