President Hakainde Hichilema has charged against what he says mischief by tribalists, hegemonists and a clique of thieves who did not want this country to be run by anyone else.
Responding to assertions from journalists upon his return from Glasgow, Scotland this afternoon at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (KKIA) that some opposition leaders have accused him of appointing people on tribal lines, President Hichilema said every Zambian was entitled to jobs, and that was an issue of human rights.
“That is mischief by the tribalists, the hegemonists who did not want this country to be run by anyone else other than a clique of thieves like them. And and I call them a clique of thieves because they have been feeding off public resources from Independence, and don’t think that someone else, other people can run this country in a better way, to redistribute jobs, to redistribute resources,” said President Hichilema. “This is what the colossal mind does. It doesn’t bother me at all.”
