Zambians don’t need HH, he’s failed – Kalaba

By Chinoyi Chipulu

Citizens First party leader Harry Kalaba says African countries admiring to borrow President Hakainde Hichilema should get him today because Zambians do not need him as he has failed to rule the country.

And Kalaba has urged the UPND government to avoid holding rallies where they feed people with lies.

Speaking yesterday, Kalaba said Zambians did not mind if other countries were envying President Hichilema because he had failed to find solutions to the many problems the country was going through.

Kalaba said the UPND government was an irresponsible administration that had failed to govern the country .

“Let them take him, we don’t mind about them taking him, if they take him today, the better,” he said

And Kalaba said the  government should focus on solving the problems in the country rather than rushing to holding rallies as Zambians were suffering.

“They will just be feeding them with lies, people do not want rallies, they want loadshedding to end, they want mealie meal and fuel to become cheaper. They are not in government to hold rallies, for them it’s action,” said Kalaba. “People are suffering, on Friday I took water bowsers to Chainda Township and people are queueing up for water on those water wells where they pay K20 per bucket. And with this economy not everyone is managing to pay, so we thought we could contribute to the community by taking water to them and that is what people want. They want actions not just talking.”

Kalaba also said the government’s failure to allow opposition parties to hold rallies was undemocratic, describing the same as dictatorship which Zambians were opposed to.

He said the country migrated from one party rule in 1991, stressing that Zambia was a democratic country hence all political players should be allowed to dialogue with citizens.
