Citizens First leader Harry Kalaba says people should vote for him, so that he comes out better than number three in 2021.
And Kalaba has bought a UCZ musical choir CD at K10,000.
Speaking at United Church of Zambia (UCZ) St Paul congregation singing competition in Serenje yesterday where he was the guest of honor, Kalaba said by the mercy of God he managed to be number three after President Hakainde Hichilema, and then incumbent president Edgar Lungu in the 2021 general elections.
“I was telling the Reverend that my wife Ireen grew up in UCZ. She was in the Girls Brigade. It was just me who confused her. Maybe, since l have come here, maybe we should get back to UCZ? My name is Harry Kalaba for those who don’t know me, those who just see me from afar,” Kalaba said. “My name is Harry Kalaba. I am the President for Citizens First. In 2021 I stood as a presidential candidate. By the mercy of God, came out number three. Mr. HH number one, the late Edgar Lungu number two, then l came out number three. You want me to come out number three even this year?”
Kalaba thanked St Paul’s UCZ for inviting him to the singing competition. He said the invitation meant that they knew him for them to invite him out of all influential figures in society.
Meanwhile, Kalaba bought a CD of the UCZ choir at K10,000
“Thank our Reverend for seeing it fit … we have a lot of influential figures in our society. There are a lot of people who you could have invited to be guests of honor. But it came into your mind to invite Harry Kalaba,” said Kalaba. “Thank you for that. It is the reason why even though we have a campaign program, it is ongoing. Because last week l was in Serenje again. I said that l am going to be back. Because those who invite you, it means they know you.”
