BA LUNGU BALESUMINISHA IFIPUBA UKUBAMYANGA MUMATWI ATI BALEBWELELAPO, CHARGES CHARITY

By Staff Report

Ba Lungu has allowed ifipuba ukubamyanga kumatwi ati balebwelelapo (Lungu has allowed fools to lick and whisper in his ears that he is coming back), says PF founder member Charity Banda.

Doubling down on her warning that former president Edgar Lungu will have to kiss good bye to his plain sailing lifestyle by serving some time in police custody as customary with Zambian politics were he to attempt a came back, Banda said Lupososhi member of parliament (PF) Emmanuel Mpankata was not the right person to be telling her that she disrespected Lungu for urging him against a come back.

“Icho chi Mpankata should be the last person to tell me I’m disrespectful to Lungu. What has he offered in his one term of duty when he served from 2001 to 2006 and was voted out? Michael Sata was upset such that he even chased him from his house,” Banda said. “I can foresee those who are forcing Lungu to come back and Lungu has allowed ababene ifibupa ukubamyanga mumatwi at balebwelelapo (He has allowed these same fools to lick or whisper his ears that he is coming back).”

Banda said she loved Lungu as former president of PF and the country and would want him to lead a quiet life but not coming back to lead the country he has led already.

“But euletuma ututwine tu kandile (He’s sending these same people), I don’t know whether it’s him or others, to be saying he is coming back,” Banda said. “Ba Mpankata is the most useless founder member of PF, same as Davies Mwila.”

She said the first time Mpankata was elected he served as an opposition MP, and that even this time he was elected but the PF lost power.

“So ninshi chena nichi MP chamu opposition (does it mean he is an opposition MP)?” Banda asked. “After winning as MP in 2001, Sata gave him one of his houses but he left Sata upset following his behaviour in Lupososhi when he lost terribly. He even got his parents from Lupososhi to Lusaka after he became MP and made the people there more upset.”

Banda insisted that she was one of those who stood in support of Lungu following the death of Sata, and was among those “who raised their hands” to vote for him at the convention, but felt that his time was now past.

“It was like pa silver plate, the first time he was given the PF presidency. He did not go through the tough times Sata went through including serving some time in police custody and the attacks by Chanda Chiimba,” said Banda, and warned Mpankata against daring her. “Ba Lungu should realise he never went through what ba Sata went through.”

Speaking with Daily Revelation, Mpankata charged that Banda was disrespecting Lungu for saying that the former president bakakakwa baka shininkishe nokushininkisha (he will be jailed so that he learns a lesson since his rise to the presidency was plain sailing).

This level of stupidity from Charity and others is what will make some of us who are still sympathetic to PF to completely leave. She has no respect for ECL from her tone of language. ECL has never said he is coming back
