DON’T EMBRACE CORRUPT LEADERS, IMPLORES CATHOLIC PRIEST

Kapiri Mposhi’s lmmaculate Heart of Mary assistant Parish priest Obed Sesa has implored Christians not to embrace corrupt leaders.
Fr Sesa says corruption should not be entertained at any types and levels of leadership in society.
Fr Sesa pointed out that if left unchecked, corruption can retard development in communities; especially there provision of social services such as health, education as well as compromse the delivery of empowerment programmes that are meant to be fine the vulnerable people in communities.
The clergyman stated that it was disheartening to see Christians getting bribes from individuals that wanted to ascend to various leadership positions.
Fr Sesa said this in his homily on Sunday at Kapiri Mposhi’s lmmaculate Heart of Mary Parish.
Fr Sesa, who mostly spoke in the native language Icibemba, stated that “Christians that were embracing corrupt leaders were also contributing to the escalating number of corruption cases in the country.
He also observed that “the fight against corruption needs concerteo efforts from all stakeholders in for us to attain social justice.”
And Fr Sesa has urged Zambians to unite and love one another.
He stressed that meaningful development can only be attained if there is unity and love among the Zambian citizenry.
