Having Josephs Akafumba as Home Affairs permanent secretary is like giving a wolf charge of the sheep-pen, says Democratic Party (DP) national youth chairperson Mashindi Ntambu.
Speaking with Daily Revelation, Ntambu said Akafumba was someone who was known to have a background of party factionalism in the NDC, and therefore could not be expected to be an objective person to operate as permanent secretary in that Ministry.
“It’s like giving a wolf charge over the sheep’s pen. We all know the problems in NDC are not new. For me having Akafumba there speaks to what intent this government has proposed. The Registrar reports directly to Akafumba,” Ntambu said. “This is mischief of the highest order. Zambians will change like the same way they judged PF with mischief.”
Ntambu said the DP had nine office bearers, but wondered why it was only three people speaking.
He said he was the one who handpicked people like Judith Kabemba, alongside the others to register the party, and that he even had receipts of the money he sent via MTN mobile money for her to get on a bus from the Copperbelt to come and formally register the party.
