HH lilofwa lyamupamba – Kalaba

By Daily Revelation Reporter

HH lilofwa lyamupamba (a terrific failure), says Citizens First (CF) leader Harry Kalaba.

And Kalaba said he is not mad to work with the UPND, neither the PF, whom he said had now come up with a new name, but that a fish will always be a fish whether in water or outside it.

Addressing a campaign rally in Samfya and other areas in Luapula Province, Kalaba described President Hichilema as a terrific failure, whom he said had been a terrific failure in government without delivering any tangible solutions to Zambians.

“HH ilofwa lyamupamba ngefyo mwaishiba. Tapaba nangu fimo efyo yachita (HH is just a loafer as President as you know. He’s a terrific failure,” Kalaba said.

He said the government had gravelled a lot of roads in Luapula Province, including the road to Chienge and in Samfya, among many others, and was lying to the people that they would tar the roads. He wondered how a serious government could start working on roads a few days before the elections.

He accused President Hichilema of failing to announce the floor price of maize over fears he would lose support.

He told the people of Nchelenge that he would restore and build upon the industrialisation of the Dr Kenneth Kaunda era.

He said in an area where there were plenty water bodies and fish, the people of Nchelenge were having to travel to Siavonga in the south as they did not have industries to add value to their fish in the area.

He said he would work towards restoring the manufacture of batteries that characterised provincial capital Mansa, by utilising the manganese resources in the province.

He said the province also had mukula tree resources and plenty of fruit resources which could be utilised to develop processing industries in the province.

Kalaba said the salt resource in Chienge could be exploited to add value to the commodity.

He said there has been a lot of propaganda that he had joined hands with the UPND, with others suggesting that he had decided to work with the Tonse Alliance.

But addressing a rally in Mwense, Kalaba said he was not mad to work with either of the two. He has repeated the message during the other rallies he has addressed.

“Do you want me to go back to PF,” Kalaba asked during one of the rallies in Mwense, with the crowd responding, “awee (no).”

“Just say what you are going to do which you didn’t do when in government. Yes, they have changed the name but when you remove umulonge (fish) from the river and take it to another river does it stop it being umulonge?” Kalaba asked. “Let them not put me in things I don’t want. Chibeleshi (that’s familiarity).”

He said CF was the only organisation that was founded on integrity
