I beg you please don’t buy Eagle Milling – Nawakwi

By Daily Revelation Reporter

FDD president Edith Nawakwi has instructed Zambians to stop buying Eagle mealie-meal produced by the Zambia National Service, saying it is dangerous stuff.

Speaking to Daily Revelation, Nawakwi told every mother and father to eat food they know.

“I am not appealing, I am telling every mother, parent, every father, every grandmother, every single mother, that Eagle mealie meal is dangerous, you would rather eat chimbwali, chibwabwa and katapa without nsima than poison your family,” Nawakwi said.

“Abandon it, don’t please. This is your former minister of Agriculture, I am telling you. Please don’t. I know what I am talking about is dangerous stuff.”

She said she was instructing every family and begging every mother.

“Don’t feed your children this mealie called Eagle mealie meal, they have been importing GMO’s without telling us they were saying that that mealie is going to Congo you remember?” She asked.

Nawakwi said President Hakainde Hichilema and the Cabinet cannot eat this “poison themselves.”

“But they want to feed the Zambian child in a hospital, at the market with Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO’s) and this is unbridled greed,” She said.

Nawakwi said the word ZNS, meant just to serve the nation and that it was extremely disturbing news coming out now.

She said ZNS was created by First Republican president Dr Kenneth Kaunda to serve people when there were floods, droughts, cholera as well as helping to deliver clean water and chlorine.

Nawakwi also said ZNS is supposed to help people to build temporary shelters where homes had disappeared like in Kanchibiya and other places.

She said the role of Zambia National Service was not to import biological weapons, under the guise of Eagle Milling to “slaughter people.”

She challenged President Hichilema, Agriculture minister Reuben Mutolo and ZNS Commander Maliti Solochi to cook the “rubbish and eat it in the public eye.”

“I challenge them that they should tell us that their children can eat the same rubbish, the same poison,” she said.

Nawakwi said President Hichilema was told not to export  mealie meal because there was  going to be hunger  but he boasted that he was the first one to export mealie meal to the DR Congo.

“And he is the first one and the last one to feed this nation on Genetically Modified Organisms. Obviously it’s out of ignorance. Hakainde doesn’t read, he just talks, talks so he has no moment to concentrate on research on his own or in fact to ask the professionals,” she said. “The same people at Mount Makuru, those are the people who take natural seed, break it up and see whether it has GMOs or not. The same people who gave him the certificate can tell him don’t, don’t bring these, these are the repercussions. If he doesn’t know, he should call those people from Mount Makuru, they will tell him instead of ordering them to give useless certificates to authorize GMs’, he should call them to his office or go to Mount Makuru and tell him this is dangerous. Not even your cows can eat it.”

She said in South Africa, there was a farm which was growing GMO’s and they were feeding pigs and pigs started dying like flies.

“When they withdrew the GMO contaminated feed, pigs stopped dying. If pigs can’t eat it, why would a Zambian child eat it,” she said.

Nawakwi wondered which normal person would feed a neighbor with poison if the government was claiming to take that imported maize to neighboring countries.

“You will start to see your girl children start to grow breasts and something on their breasts. You will begin to see children who are…just a normal child they begin to behave like an animal.

I mean honestly, even in science, we don’t know how much genetically modified organisms are in this mealie meal, is it 1 percent, two percent, 20 percent, 50 percent, what type, how it changes life. Every Zambian knows that Eagle milling when you cook the nsima leave it on the table for 30 minutes, it tastes like it’s not cooked, that’s GMO. It tastes raw, it’s GMO, it’s like eating plastics,” she said.

Nawakwi said President Hichilema and his minions had gone too far and had crossed the red line.
