President Hakainde Hichilema has urged his supporters to stay focussed as he may lose even with one vote if they do not work harder.
Addressing a campaign rally in Luano district today, President Hichilema said his supporters must work harder as he is seeking to win the elections by getting 5 millions votes.
He said they must not listen to “pompwes (thieves” who would give them another message from his.
“Don’t make a mistake because I may lose with one vote,” President Hichilema said. “So campaign hard. This year we want to win by 5 million votes.”
He directed his all his candidates in Luano to ferry all those who lived in far flung areas to places near the polling stations before voting day so that they could cast their votes early.
President Hichilema said he would employ all the volunteer nurses and teachers next month
He said the hospital at Masansa would be a fully fledged district hospital with more doctors and nurses if he were re-elected.
President Hichilema said Mkushi South boarding school will be completed and expanded, and he would work towards improving mobile network connectivity between Luano and Mkushi.
He promised to increase satellite depots for the farmers so that they could easily deliver and supply their produce.
President Hichilema said this year people would be paid within two days of delivering their maize.
For the miners, President Hichilema said he wanted them to mine legally and safely.
“We don’t want foreigners to bring guns in our mines. We want safety,” he said.
He urged the people against voting for independents as he had not sent any of them to campaign for him.
President Hichilema said he loved the people and asked them if they loved him in return.
He said those who loved him must campaign for him even after Church.
