THINGS ARE NOW BLOWING UP IN PF … te apa fyayambafye ukulapoboka, says PF MP

By Merlyn Mwanza

Te apa fyayambafye ukulapoboka nomba (things are now starting to blow up) in PF says Kantanshi member of parliament (PF) Anthony Mumba.

In his posting in one of the PF blogs accessed by Daily Revelation, Mumba commended Antonio Mwanza following his resignation from the PF and addressing important issues on why he has decided to do so.

He said everyone could hear that Mwanza was tired because of what has been happening in PF, saying when he has tried to address similar matters he has been accused in PF of being a sellout to UPND.

Mumba said people think President Hakainde Hichilema buys people because that is what they themselves have become accustomed to.

He said in elections parties win or lose but organisations must continue, saying young people like himself joined the PF thinking that even if President Hichilema were to rule for five or 10 years, the party must continue to exist as it was initially formed to speak for the voiceless.

“When we started talking, accusations were raised that Mumba has been bought by UPND, something you know that UPND doesn’t do. They have never bought a person. Even the President doesn’t release money when his choir is dancing. So how can he buy people?” Mumba asked. “Pantu echaba mumitwe shenu (Because that is what is in your heads). You only know how to buy people. So you think your friends do the same. So what has happened today (Mwanza’s defection) is a manifestation of what we have been talking about. So are you going to call Antonio Mwanza a sellout, that he’s been bought?”

Mumba castigated the cadres he said have just been insulting on blogs without understanding the issues saying that should open their eyes and stop politics of stone throwing.

He said politics was not just about criticising what those in the ruling party were doing, but praising were they were doing well and raising issues where they were not, as no President would want to be criticised all the time.

Mumba argued that to those who were waiting for a PF conversation, there will be none as they will just be told that “this is the president or “bakaya midumbwisha mu Socialist umo”, wondering how a party with 58 members of parliament, mayors and councillors could start talking about joining a party that had only a few councillors.

“What sort of people are you? You failed to pass Bill 10, lost elections and two years down the line you have failed to rebrand the party. You just point at people to say they are sellouts … And that Anthony Mumba wants to be president,” Mumba said, and wondering why that should even be an issue if indeed he wanted to become one.

He said he is there and will simply be watching the happenings.

“Tukalatambako. Te apa fyayambafye ukulapoboka (We will just be watching. There we go, things are now beginning to blow up),” said Mumba.

If lubinda is really acting of president, let him listen to people who are telling him the truth straight into his face. By the time he will be thinking of going for a convention, people will be gone, how can you trust members who tell you to join so party when it has not have a single no and yet you are backed up by 58mps? Sad.
