Zambia Must Prosper leader Kelvin Bwalya Fube has asked President Hakainde Hichilema to grow up in living with the mandate given to him by the Zambia people.
And Fube said the country is not short of leadership to be inundated with the petty squabbling of Hakainde Hichilema and Edgar Lungu.
In a media release, Fube said the President claimed to have gone to the Copperbelt to monitor developmental projects yet he left a mining dependent town like Mufulira without offering any message of hope to the miners but instead launched threats against his predecessor Edgar Lungu about him going to Church and him enjoying his basic freedoms of movement and association.
Fube said instead of fixing the economy, the country is being treated to a fight between two individuals, saying Zambia is not about Hichilema or Lungu but about the 19 million citizens.
He said it was expected that one who has been given the mandate will engage in fixing problems and not engaging in personal squabbling, urging such a person to “grow up and lead.”
Fube said while those who served with Hichilema in the UPND alliance agreed to address youth unemployment, unify the country, end violence and fix matters, this is not what is happening under President Hichilema as violence has returned in full force under him being perpetrated by UPND thugs in the same manner PF thugs used to do to them.
He urged Hichilema not to gloss over the violence, as the nation has not heard any apology from him since the whole matter happened, saying he was wasting his time if his visit to the Copperbelt was about insulting Lungu.
“This is the problem when you want power but you don’t have a vision,” said Fube, and urged Hichilema to stop worrying about Lungu saying if Lungu wants to go to Church he must be allowed to go there and pray, wondering why Hichilema was so worried about him and not the suffering Zambians.
He said Zambia was not short of leaders to be inundated with the petty squabbling of Lungu and Hichilema while citizens are suffering.
