Fresh from winning the 2026 Mopani Zambia Open on Sunday at Nkana Golf Club in Kitwe, Zimbabwean golfer Stuart Krog takes the short drive to Chingola for the 2026 KCM Nchanga Challenge at Nchanga Golf Club from June 18-20.

The KCM Challenge is the final stop of the South African Sunshine Tours’ two events on the Zambian circuit after the Zambia Open held at Nkana  from June 6-11.

Last Sunday, Krog won the Zambia Open to clinch his debut Sunshine Tour title in dramatic fashion after coming eight shots behind on the final day to overtake the overnight leader and win the event by one stroke at 5 under 283.

On Thursday,  Krog will give it another shot at Nchanga, which is hosting its first Sunshine Tour event since 2016.

The KCM Challenge will also be graced by a familiar Zambian face amongst the entries.

Veteran golfer Madalisto Muthiya, who missed the 2026 Mopani Zambia Open, is on the list of 127 golfers at the KCM Challenge.

Nchanga holds a special place in Muthiya’s heart, where he finished second in the 2006 KCM Zambia Open.

Muthiya will be part of the 25 Zambian golfers vying for honours in Chingola this weekend.

The top four finishers are also at Nchanga, namely runner-up Jason Roets and led in round 2, Haydn Porteous, who finished 3rd and was day-one leader.

2025 Zambia Open winner Samuel Simpson who finished 4th at Nkana, is also part of the field at Nchanga hoping for better fortunes.

Meanwhile, the only two Zambian golfers to make the final cut at the 2026 Mopani Zambia Open are also at Nchanga.

Dayne Moore, who finished 55th at 13 over in Kitwe, and Stallion Daka, who finished third last at number 61st at +13, are both looking to make back-to-back cuts and improve over the four rounds.
