People die for refusing to see clear signs of deterioration in relationships – Laura

Activist Laura Miti most couples end up dying for refusing to separate despite clear signs of irreconcilable differences in relationships.

Posting on her Twitter feed, Miti argued that certain challenges in couples usually show only one way, but many choose to remain still and end up dying in the process.

“Murder is almost NEVER the 1st act of violence in a relationship. By the time one dies, a couple has been through all manner of controlling behaviour, acrimony, irreconcilable differences & brutal beatings, which should strongly suggest separation. Unfortunately most refuse to,” posted Miti.

One going by the name Meebz agreed with her blaming cultural considerations for the same.

“Relatives are also the problem especially with telling women to go back to abusive relationships,” submitted Meebz.

Nicholas Kampong agreed also agreed with Miti amplifying that fear to take action was also to blame.

“Shipikishaling “until death” puts us asunder. Marital tsunamis don’t just hit at once without warning. The signs are usually there to indicate the imminence of a disaster. But because we’re afraid of so many things including the crowd, we ignore the signs till it’s too late,” argued Kampong.
