CHARITY HAS GREATLY DISRESPECTED LUNGU, SAYS PF MP

By Daily Revelation Reporter

Lupososhi member of parliament (PF) Emmanuel Mpankata says it’s indiscipline of the highest order for longtime PF member Charity Banda to say that ba Lungu bakabakaka bakashininkishe nokushininkisha (he will be arrested so that he learns a lesson) should he attempt a come back.

And Mpankata has challenged President Hakainde Hichilema to publicly declare his assets so that he can prove to Zambians how clean he is going forward.

Speaking with Daily Revelation, Banda said Lungu has had it easy as opposed to his other colleagues who experienced tough times, including spending some time in police custody, warning that those asking him to come back risked having him getting arrested so that he can learn a lesson.

But Mpankata said this was the same indiscipline they have been talking about in the party, describing Banda’s remarks as a lack of respect for the former president, especially coming from a bonafide member like Banda.

“His Excellency Edgar Lungu has never said publicly that he is standing, except those we see on social media posting. That is lack of discipline in the party. What does she know about the former president that he will be arrested for? That is indiscipline of the highest order,” Mpankata said.

And Mpankata challenged President Hichilema to lead by example in declaring his assets, wondering what it was he was hiding from the public.

He said President Hichilema was now state property.

The ACC today announced the arrest of former minister Bowman Lusambo for possessing a one story four bedroom house suspected to be proceeds of crime.

But Mpankata described that was just witch-hunt as a person who has been doing business for a long time and is a former minister could not fail to develop a house.

He said he was aware of ministers in the UPND administration who were building mansions just months after being elected into office, including one who bought a building belonging to the former Solicitor General, wondering if they too must be investigated.

“We know what most of these ministers were worth when coming into office. That’s why most delayed to declare their assets until one year of being in office after accumulating colossal sums,” said Mpankata.
